Asus viviobook pros (17") were selling for $799 i bought one a month or so ago love it so far but havent tried gaming on it yet. Its got a GT 940 mx and 7th gen i7 i believe.

Edit: Only cons so far are no removable battery (very annoying), no Cd/dvd drive (which is not a big deal), less-than-impressive constructed a/c adapter (only two prong plug), and odd power switch location.

940mx in a 17" for 800 bucks+ Seems like you got screwed. Most likely an U model duo core as well?
The 940mx is a low powered GPU last gen for ultrabooks, can't even compare to something like a gtx 1050 TI Mobile.
Hopefully at least you got a model with an IPS screen?

Gtx 1050 in the same laptop was over $1000. I'm not really a gamer, but bought it for music/video editing in the future.

The screen is really nice idk what ips means lol. It says "4k UHD playback and encoding" and "17.3 full HD wideView display 72% NTSC color gamut"

Looks like the price went up since i bought mine, now $849, i got mine for $799.99 free shipping.

I looked for cheaper options but didnt find anything better for less $ than $799.
