The motherboard is overclockable, IF you have an i3 8350K, it's overclockable, all that leaves is which BIOS version you have, which shouldn't really matter.
/ee You have to turn the OC Genie OFF also, but I would imagine your friend knows that?You can't do a manual OC with the OC Genie turned.... ON.
