I've been super happy with this one.
https://www.amazon.ca/PCE-AC55BT-B1-Wireless-AC1200-Bluetooth-adapter/dp/B0713RRZMB/ref=sr_1_15?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1524755277&sr=1-15&keywords=pci+wireless+adapter

you do have to have it plugged into an internal usb 2.0 header to use bluetooth. I didn't have any left over so i had to get a usb 3.0 header to 2.0 adapter and plug it in through that.
I believe it also needs the antenna plugged in for Bluetooth to function.

Never had any connectivity problems, ps4 controller hasn't lagged or disconnected at all, with the bonus of it also being a pretty decent wifi card.

This doesn't have bluetooth and wouldn't connect to any of your controller. Wifi =/= bluetooth (the signal controllers run on)
If you want the minimum latency you want PCI-E over USB. HDMI is for video/audio, not sure why you even mentioned that...

Any of the selection here will do the job well. You get what you pay for; if you buy a $20 usb one, chances are you will have some decent input lag.

cheap, simple, convenient, and good are not things that tend to go hand in hand.

I've used my fair share of cheap 10$ bluetooth adapters, and they are shit. Maybe there's a good one out there, but i've yet to find it.

E: Cant edit because tags,

Normally with most things it would be reasonable to recommend something dirt cheap, but the hassle of returning the inevitably garbage adapter and having to wait to order the one you should have ordered in the first place, plus potentially paying return shipping or just eating the cost because its not worth it to send it back, cannot be worth saving 10-15$

Normally I'd agree but this is short range and Bluetooth is an inexpensive technology.
If anything the Asus do glue at 20cad idk it's us price is amazing, I see no reason to pay over double that.

Here's the one I was thinking of and use. Gets me easy 20 feet distance without issues.

Been using bluetooth dongles since wii was released.
I liked using the wii remote to cycle through photo's and as a mouse when guests are over on the big screen.
