Dang. What were the flaws? D3 was just shit to me too. Crap art design. Number spamming, Cain killing, bullshit rune skill system garbage. Now every build revolves around set items. Useless. And I hate that bind to account crap.

Well not going in to much details:

D3 was overall just a fail. First of wtf up with the light toned cartoonish graphics. The skills system was way to simple for an ARPG in 2010's. Also why have items bind to the account, a big part of RPG's is trading and chatting with the community.
Kinda seems like it was made for the younger audience.

PoE was quite decent. Their skilltree was comprehensive, to the point it was to much. You kinda had to research for hours to make sure you didn't totally screw up your character. Was not satisfied with their game engine. Also the desync/lag was insane, to the point HC was impossible to play.

Grim Dawn well overall great. But it was not server-sided. So people could spawn items etc. But was quite fun playing legit with friends.

98% of the core action RPG values from Diablo were not carried over

Hmm.. I don't know why I still haven't tried POE after all these years. Grim Dawn looks good and I have a friend on steam who absolutely loves it.

What was that new tactical game where you controlled units and it was multileveled battlefields?

I got to note that the whole skill tree being convoluted only compliments the extremely large amount of unique properties in items (in both rares and uniques), and has only gone forward in the past years. It is now extremely complicated and very difficult to master - that's very bad for new players, good~ish for people who stick to the game.

Desync has been fixed a long time ago. The servers are also usually reliable enough to not cause any worries.

I can really recommend it to the people who want something to delve deep into, otherwise it's an "okay" ARPG for people who would just use a guide to complete majority of the game and be done with it.

Grim Dawn's only negative was how easy it was to kite monsters. Still really fun though, I should go back to it. So many half played characters lol

Sounds like quite a fun game to me. I will try it out eventually.

Path of Diablo is fun if anyone wished D2 was balanced a bit better and had some PoE-like currency to change items.
