I would test each card individually using a single riser. Once all cards confirmed working, switch out risers.

It totally could be a riser.problems typically occur on the 1x end of the connector that plugs into the mobo. Might have 2 contacts touching.

I recommend wrapping those in electrical tape (I don't, but if the risers all work and you're troubleshooting then you can make the assumption that you didn't cause any issues when moving parts around.

Make sure you're on gen2 on the 16x slots in Mobo bios too.

thanks, we are swapping our risers and we even swapped out the 1000w psu.

Yes happened to my old comp one of the sticks wad fried. Had to go thru each stick until found which one it was

well got three cards running for two hours now.

now to test the other 1080ti's

tested the three we had running

didnt get much done at all today had issues with our 580 rig.
