ok so it looks like my qnix is dying and flickering... so i need a new monitor anyway.... is this probably a good one to get? or what else would you suggest?

it also has a super high pitched noise often. and will sometimes go away after 60 seconds. but its getting more frequent... and the flickering just started lol

i can get this 28in samsung monitor for $330? or this monprice for $250. is it worth the extra $80?

Are you sure it's just not a bad connection with the cable? Are you using the cable that came with it?

im not sure if its the power cord... because the power cord it came with actually died on me a couple years ago. and i bought a new power cord with the brick. but either the monitor has finally died, or its the cord again. i dont know how to check the power cord, unless i order a new one?

im now using my shitty old 1080p monitor that got fked when a power outage happened and half the screen has burn in and turns pink lol...

well it probably is the fking power cord lol.... a piece of the cord that inserts into the monitor itself is broken.... it was chipped off... i cant tell if its inside the monitor though lol wtf

edit:

ok yea the plastic piece from the power cord is broken off inside the monitor's power slot.... i cant get it out also...

tried using tweezers but they dont fit around the slot. the power hole is a circle, with a metal rod in the center. the tweezers dont fit to grip the plastic piece thats around the metal rod

ok so i got a new power cable with the brick and its also not working...

so the display color turns blue as if its plugged into my tower and has the power. but nothing displays on the screen...

i am assuming this may be a blown capacitor?

i might as well just get a new monitor? it looks like a decent 4k 27 inch monitor is around $350. i want IPS. i dont care about response time or above 60 hz.

and a 4k 32 inch is around $400 or $450...

any chance 27 inch at 4k would be nice? or should i just get a 1440p 27inch?

looking at either this 4k 27 inch for $300
LG Electronics 27MU58-B

or a lenovo 1440p 27 inch for $200
Lenovo L27q 27

$100 more for a 4k screen. i can always scale the display or change to 1440p i guess, right?
