It's simply the refresh rate appears to be "laggy", because your mind has been so fixated on the 144hz (the ideal framerate). It's not fake, and there is a big difference.

If you cannot tell that difference, iuno what to tell you bro

you need fast moving things to notice
tell me how I am going to notice a video playing at 24-30fps on my monitors without any interpolation software involved?
tell me how I am going to notice a cad files difference when I am just rotating it
tell me how I am goin to notice a difference photo editing when there is no moving anything

you need things to be running more frames to notice

It's actually not just "fast things to notice". If you just slowly move the cursor around, it feels immensely laggy too. Stop calling me clueless too, it's getting pretty fucking annoying.

I'm unsure if its beneficial to me, and some games I can run vsync on my current 144hz display and notice no input lag
