So, sounds like you do not have a wireless adapter, in that case, you're not able to connect wirelessly to your network without an adapter. Your cable connection should, generally, be better than a wireless connection anyway.
I would start with turning off your modem/router for 15 sec and turning back on. Also, try a different web browser and see if that makes a difference.

/edit Also, update your drivers for your network adapter. If you're unsure how to do this, google should be able to help you.

Try a different port from the router. How long is the cable as well?

With Speccy.. like this...

Get SPECCY here: http://www.piriform.com/speccy/download
...get the FREE version from the: Piriform Link
...Speccy is a really nice system hardware/temperature, information Utility.
...simply install it...and run the program...then post a screen shot of the main page of the program, when posting a problem/question on these forums.

Also in Control Panel under "Network" if you right click your network and choose: properties, it should look like this...

Also in Control Panel is a thing called "Notification Area Icons", which will let you pick and choose what icons to show...down by the clock.

/e Also the driver for you LAN chip... is here: https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/B75M-ITX/index.asp#Download

Click on Support then on Downloads, then choose your Version of Windows... and you want the... Realtek Lan driver ver:7048

...download the driver from the Global link and save it to your desktop.
