You can't BCLK a 8400

edit: well, you can do technically but not very high for any significant improvements

not sure yet, but i think the 8400 post count is a sign i need to upgrade soon.

i do game development so it should help a bit on scene previewing

when i went from a fx 6300 to the 2600 the performance is night n day and sped up development tbh

If you do game dev, why are you not using an I7/R7? Assuming you get paid to do this, wouldn't it be worth the extra couple hundo to have near top tier performance?

Not an R7, the single core IPC is not great for game dev. Especially the engine I use doesn't really use multiple cores & threads that good

i7, yes. Was thinking of the 8700k but too expensive. 8400 is like the perfect price:perf regarding an upgrade. I'm going to wait until the cheaper mobos come out in a couple months though
