i have two sound devices, realtek audio sound and high definition audio sound.

am i suppose to only have one enable?

Realtek is probably the onboard audio. The other could be the HDMI Audio tied to the GPU.

I don't think you understand the difference between software and hardware

The OP is reporting a buzz sound (physical, hardware issue) coming from his PC.

No it isn't. You are 100% sure it is hardware without all the details. Now is it more likely that it's hardware? Probably. But it's not a guarantee.

And for the record, I've probably forgotten more about computers than you'll ever know.
