hmmmm so my desktop just has the onboard internet port for the mobo. i dont have a separate network card. got it in 2013 the z77 extreme 4 i think

but i want to transfer to an apple laptop.... wonder if the apple has this shit though

Jeebus...regular Ethernet cable between the two computers, run Migration Assistant on the Mac, follow the steps to transfer stuff from a Windows PC (you'll need to install the Windows Migration Assistant on the PC first).
