I use Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2017. I used to use Webroot Anti-Virus, but I found out it lacks features. I can scan inside an .exe file without installing it with Kaspersky, but I couldn't do that with Webroot.

you can literally just upload an .exe to VirusTotal and it will scan it with a bunch of AV software. Running AV on your PC is a ded meme
