cuz it's the only board available right now, and still better than the 1600,1700,7700k etc in gaming.
https://www.anandtech.com/show/11859/the-anandtech-coffee-lake-review-8700k-and-8400-initial-numbers/15
while overclocking the 8600k shows the usual 1-10fps boost in performance when OC'd high as 5.1ghz at 92C

I know it's a very hard concept to understand, but hopefully one day you will understand it as well.
Wait til 2018 q1 to use the 8400? might as well say "why the fuck would anyone buy any CPU's available right now, just wait for Ryzen 2's" etc.

Show me the benchmark where as 8400 is better than a 7700K at 5GHZ

I can't show you that cuz i can't find it. However my guess would be that the 7700k will be slightly better, but you're also spending $320 on the CPU + more $$$ on the cooler which is a given & most likely delidding . With that extra cash spent, why not just get a GPU tier above and get way more performance boost for games?? Also, add to the fact that 8400 showing better performance than a stock 7700k is a bonus.

What's the deal with you recommending an 8400 cpu on a z370 board? Care to back up your reasoning please?
