cable wouldnt be the issue
i mean what cpu are you using
sandforce has issues with haswell
and try to find the newest firmware for your ssd or even roll it back if you updated prior to this issue appearing

Read the reviews. They are not all accurate, but after 10-20 of them, you start to get a picture.

These don't seem to be that sturdy.


On a side note, if the drive is very full, it will have issues as well.

what are good manufacturers for SSD that I can buy from in the future so I can avoid getting ripped off?

crucial, samsung, sandisk, adata... idk nowadays ssd's are a lot more reliable in general.
