can get 2x 4k monitors with super thin bezel, wall mount or something to make them super close. sorta workaround, not really though. but super expensive also

also have you ever used a 4k monitor before? it does make several things smaller in size. depends what u prefer and plan to use it for, but just a wide 1440p monitor might be good enough.

His laptop is 4k as well tho.
Pretty sure he will be happy with 4k on a twice as big monitor for SQL work and Pentaho.

Well that's unfortunate they have no true 4k widescreen yet. Do you have a 3820 x 2160 you could recommend?

Do you have a budget in mind?

There is a lot of video's out there with some opinions on this matter. Check them out yourself if you have a hard time deciding.

Probably up to $800 or so per monitor. Dell had a deal with rebates and stuff for 2x u3415w ultrasharps for 1175 and a $400 gc, but I missed that. I'll definitely take a peek at that video below.

If price is not an issue I would look at Dell ultrasharp.

Do you have the thunderbolt dock? It can handle 2x 4k@60hz.
Btw HDMI is only 1.4 so it can only do 4k@30hz

I don't, but I'm not actually going to be using two at the same time. One will be for work and one will be for the office is my plans. I've considered getting the thunderbolt dock for convenience sake but that would be later on. Idk why they though 1.4 HDMI was a good call on this laptop. So unfortunate.
