Exactly.
G4600
i3-7100 - somewhat contested to the ryzen 3 1200 - but i3-7100 has a better single core.
i5 7600k

Best " for the budget " in their price bracket. Ryzen doesn't touch these $values

Sitting on my i7 2600k that i bought for $100 2 months ago on ebay laughing my fucking ass off lmao

coffeelake / r5 1600 or bust

cant wait for next month

Been on haswell myself too

Intel does release their new versions but are aimed at shit i can care less about
ryzen single core is pretty much same as what i have
And more cores seems to do shit for majority of games and other shit i do
Thing that pisses me off is software/game developers now days
Requirements needed for pc version far exceeds their console version
Seen some developers are using brand new systems with high-end parts like wtf shouldn't you be developing for mainstream 3ish years ago for descent settings then working up to the new shit
To not completely alienate the poorer or people that have older high-end systems
To me seems like they waste more money incorporating new features instead of making a fucking good all around game for all users

well it's made for consoles which have a lot of low throughput cores most desktops have fewer high performance cores
anything made on console is going to have some difficulties being ported to pc even if they are both x86 now
and vice versa
this is why so many console ports run like ass
this is why PoE is going to have shit performance when it goes to Scorpio

Not really considering dx11 or dx12
And fact they can use the lowest common denominator either way which would be usually xbox

You ever notice in the 360 days games were ported only needed 6800/2900xt like cards for couple years then all of a sudden bam higher shit was needed
Same thing is happening again requirements keep raising on pc but console specs are set in stone

it really is just a simple as they are optimizing these games for consoles specifically
the garbagedozer derived chip in consoles is partly to blame
they have to work VERY close to the metal to squeeze the performance they want out of it

also standards for pc gamer is 60 fps

for consoles it's 30 and the resolution is lower (1080i vs 1080p)

what it boils down to is you need a lot more cpu and gpu torque on pc because it's not optimized + higher standards of fidelity

Newer consoles can do more than 30fps
It's Still not the point just look at requirements of games released on 360 vs pc
You Will find requirements on pc blow the console version away say the end of the 360s life and can't when get 30fps without huge tweaks

Yeah but it's apples and oranges comparing PC's and current consoles to the 360.

Not really they are rendering the same games
With hardware similar
Consoles are just closer to the metal

Plz have a look at what they are using

current consoles = x86
pcs = x86

360 = PowerPC

Yes look at what these developers are using when creating their port
Habe been on the other side of this convo before until someone showed me that they were using 980 while porting it over
Hence the need for higher system requirements instead of optimizing it to similar performance pc

It might just be because I haven't seen a single good game hit consoles in the last 4 years but I could care less about shitty console ports.
if they don't think it's worth all the time and money it takes to optimize a game well for pc they won't bother. It's a business. If getting it good enough to run on a 980 is 'good enough' then that's all that matters.

And optimizing really is a lengthy and expensive process. If they aren't expecting to make many times the expense in pc game sales of the title they are right not to put too much effort into it.

Just look at GTA V, they didn't find 'the secret' to optimizing games for pc, they just invested a lot into it because they knew it would do well. Not worth it for most games.
