I actually wrote to them via live chat and their main center verified it would be $159.99 and then when I arrived there they changed the price. lol

So it was a big deal and the manager at the store pretty much called me a liar. I got all the transcripts from them now and I am going back. I already spoke with their customer relations and they will be doing it for the price that was listed for.

None of it was my fault besides for not bringing in a printed sheet of the actual chat and price on their website.

Nothing, but if you could get one for the price of a regular SSD would you?

Samsung 500GB NVMe 960 EVO for $160. Or I can get a 850 EVO 500GB Sata III for $163.... lol

Which would you choose?

it's not like when an online retailer mis-lists something like awhile back when that wd blue ssd was up for like $20 and everyone ordered it and they cancelled it.. takes no effort to order something online and have it declined, but it's a pain in the ass to drive to microcenter. They should have to take the loss if they screw up.

Yeah and that's what they did after the manager pretty much told me I was lying and that she is notified right away from any mistakes and they won't change prices until midnight not during the day.

Anywho, their corporate office sorted it all out and I just have to make the hour drive out there again. XD They will give me a $50.00 gift card for driving out twice as well. So I guess it's all fine.

nice they usually have great customer service, but many employees remind me of any other place, lack of knowledge of products or just pushing sales

and I suppose if you are getting it at that price i'd get nvme too

Yeah that's the only reason. I'm getting it for a really good price. May as well save a few seconds on all my loading screens. :P
