I just recently upgraded from a fx 8320 to a ryzen 1700x only issue ive had was with memory compatibility and they have that pretty squared away now. Im definitely glad that i upgraded.

I also prefer amd over intell.

They say that intell is still better for gaming but really its only a few fps and its not even noticeable. And not true in every instance.

it was definitely true with fx but with ryzen it won't matter, i'm running a 1080ti on 144fps 1080p so i'm way overkill for my resolution.

Lol 24 lane 16 cpu 8 chipset
You would be downgrading in gaming especially at that resolution but if you want to look like gimhae/newegg feel free to continue

Seems like you made up your decision before you made the thread. Why make a thread at all?

You have a i7 that can be overclocked. There isn't a reason you *should* upgrade unless you've started working on projects that require more cores/threads than you currently have. You're not going to see better gaming performance on Ryzen. It's a waste of money, but it's your money.

subjective but for the most part true

i don't have issues with what i have now so i could wait for something even better to come out

the ryzen7 series is very tempting though

Yeah. I have a 6700k and kind of want to go to Ryzen, but that's mostly because I just like having new stuff. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I just want a good 6+ Core already. Feels like quad is dying, They havent really improved it much in a long time.
