You'd be surprised. Most warranty service on TVs that size is done on site, as the risk of damage in shipping that big of a TV twice is very high. Panels get replaced under warranty, too.

thats what im hoping. if they can just fix something on site would be nice. or just somehow make it so the issue isnt there, as in replace some part, or new tv. whatever. i spent quite a bit on a nice 65inch tv and expect it to be of good quality.

they're big, heavy, and prone to silly malfunctions like this. It's virtually impossible for a box that big to go from point a to point b, the actual frailness of the panel itself squared by its size and multiplied by any force it receives in transit that is made even worse by how big it is. Even assuming it made it out of the factory with no bleed. And then there's anything that could happen to it inbetween your doorstep and the installation being complete...

next time just get a projector
huge ass tv's are a noob consumer trap.

I had a 55 inch 4k tv before. but wanted the higher end model and a 65 inch 4k TV.

i considered a projector for a while and then realized that for the quality vs price, the TV was the better option. A 4k projector is stupidly expensive still.

I actually would be if they did a panel replacement on site.
Know two tv techs and neither will ever take apart a panel as you'd need a clean room and special equipment.
Replacing a tv is cheaper then acquiring a new panel, I mean shipping a panel out to a tech is just as risky as shipping the tv.
The tech needs to get paid and he'll get extra for a house call not to mention the panel itself is probably the most expensive part of a tv.
Anything else I could see tbh (bad board/cap/etc) but on site panel replacement is really doubtful imo.

I mean who knows, op may be near their facilities and it maybe easier but I doubt it very very much.

just made appointment with samsung for one of their techs to come out. the tech company will contact me within 2 days to make appointment time for them to come out.

i checked google reviews of the tech place. they have an average of 2 stars for over 200 reviews lol. 90% of reviews are people who got this tech company through samsung. but like 90% of those reviews are also for washing machine, fridge, and microwaves lol..... only a few i read were for TVs. ugh.... we shall see how good they are for me...

Even geek squads repair guy can fix these in home.

They come out inspect and verify go back and order the part it takes a 3-7 days or more depending on availability and they go back out and repair it. They do this in home for any TV bigger than 55 inches

The repair shop said they will just order a new front panel for the TV and replace it.

How can i make sure they dont try to fuk me over and order a different panel type? Like i want the exact panel meant for this TV so it is the same quality.

they said all their parts come from samsung directly. and that the technician has done several TV repairs. So they are ordering a new front panel.

Just be there when they do it. Somewhere on that panel, will be a model/part number.
