SO if you want then tro be in order you must plug them in to the appropriate inputs to achieve a sequence.

no cause it won't have em labeled but each input reflects a number.
so you could label each one yourself or switch em around till its in order.

Does it matter the connectivity?

I'm going to get another DP cable for my main monitor and switch from DVI.

That way I'll have 2 DP and 1 HDMI

Cause my GPU looks like this

DP - DP - HDMI - DP
DVI
