only real reason i posted was to get an idea if it would be worth buying the monitor i linked and tossing the tv i have to the side for my xbox.

No cause like you said you don't have money.
But as stated in your budget any IPS or TN panel MONITOR will be better then a tv.
Its not going to be game breaking though and make you good.
