150mbps is nothing that's like the rated speed of a 10 year old linksys router you'd find at a garage sale
look at the specs on the page for this one

Well, being on a budget I cannot convince my wife to get 1GBPS internet. :(

So we both are agreeing to 150 MBPS. Still mighty fast for just two people in a home.

150mbs is a lot for just 2 people, I just meant in terms of what a router can handle.

The modem says up to 150 MBPS so I am curious if it would bottleneck if my internet decides to boost a little more and go to like 160. lol

When I scroll down to the specs about modem it says this:

Item is CABLE MODEM ONLY, Frustration Free Packaging and great for Cable Internet plans up to 150Mbps

E: I do see when I click on the modem itself it does say 343 mbps.. Weird

Yeah, those bullet points are barely even English so I wouldn't take them to heart too much.
I'd refer to the actual specs instead.

check the reviews too there's plenty

Eh, I bought it. If for some reason it doesn't work good or I don't like it I'll just return it. Amazon is a pretty nice place.

This literally makes no sense.
Do you have IP-cam or VoIP-phone you powered meanwhile?
With this setup you would still need a modem and router.

I would really like to hear his plan.
