i did reseat, i used compressed air, I also put them in the alternate slots just in-case. i can pick-up a brush at the store this afternoon if you really think it would make a difference.
put the ram in my personal pc to make sure it was working, both sticks are. (2x 4gb)

Not if you get good brushes.
I use air. Sometimes, cleaning something else..blows dust into RAM or GPU slots, unintentionally ofc.

picked up a cheap-o gpu and still nothing different.
assume there is likely some damage to the mobo that isn't visual, still odd that both the computers would act the same way.. really bugging me.

so I think I will look around for a used or refurbished one of these mobos or I will just get a cheap amd chip and board, and sell the i5 chip

he is saying he was sure the gpu wasn't the problem and that if you have to spend $300 to get the part he thinks is broken that would have been better than spending $35 on top of it for a component that he knows wouldn't fix it.

right, figured it out after.

still not gonna spend $300 on a new mobo for that
