Maybe you screwed those bolt in...too far.

nah, i turned the TV on before i did any screws for the wall mount to check for lightbleed or other issues

Return it and go with a different panel that isn't notorious for having bleeding issues.

yea thats true the ks8000 is quite well known for lightbleed issues.

Ok so i was looking at the TV while it was on the floor and only a few screens. i did sit on the floor to be eye level with the TV like i normally would be. the TV still has sort of bad light bleed in a few spots. but as long as the screen is not dark then its not as noticeable. and i guess ill just have to live with it for now. as long as it doesnt get worse over time. for the work it will take to replace the TV its not really worth it right now.

Are lightbleed issues known to progressively get worse over time?

No one ITT knows what causes back light bleed.

I am disappointed.

just apply some slight pressure to relieve it, there are many tricks that can be done for around the bezel, actually fixed a tv with a flat toothpick

i think its either the panel not being placed on uniformly.

or the lights behind the panel are not uniform?

Also ive heard that around the edges of many TVs, the manufacturers will make the edges of panels slightly different to prevent backlight bleed, although it doesnt help much.

yea i heard someone saying to use gentle firm pressure and massage the area. or to lightly tap the area.

but ive also heard this can make it worse?

Irrelevant every TV especially the newer models backlight bleed has been rampant.

New tvs even high end ones are plagued with these issues. Quality control, mines so slight I just live with it and once I got the TV calibrated it's actually not super noticeable (but it wasn't bad to begin with)

They happen on monitors just as commonly as televisions

Could it have to do with being fuckhuge and therefore it being a nigh impossibility that some form of stress isn't endured at some point between leaving the factory and arriving in people's homes? Because the only time I can remember something similar to this happening was on a laptop i stupidly picked up by the monitor segment that developed a very tiny amount of this on the edge where my thumb pressed into.

Presumably the internal panels are just as fragile in huge tv's as small laptop monitors and when the tv is big.. it's that much easier for that small amount of required pressure to happen.
