If the base weighs about 25% more than the TV, then it will probably be OK.

However much the base weighs, I would definitely set something pretty heavy on the outer edges of the base.

the whole stand is : Item Weight 35.6 pounds

The TV is around 51 lbs

I think it should be fine as it says it can hold up to 110 lbs. Although ive read a reviewer say you should not put more than a 80 lb TV on it

What would you put on the outer edges of the base? also i would think that defeats the purpose of having wheels then? I do want to be able to wheel it around from in front of my bed, to in front of a chair.
If you remember the recliner that i raised a bit ago with casters and the wooden base. Also thanks again to all who helped me build that base with casters!

It doesn't matter how much the stand holds...UP. What maters is how easy it would be to tip over.

The ugly solution would be a couple 60 lb.bags of sand...or a few weights from a weight lifting set.

Well, be creative. Put the sand bags IN a canvas bag or something. Suitcase maybe.

tv is only 38lb without stand which would still make it top heavy

also how much did you pay for it if I may ask?
