Will try this after work.

I was intending on setting up my old pc to see if I can connect on it. Though anything on wifi is fine.
I'll have to google how to do a static ip and try tomorrow

once you've done that hard reset you will need to reconfigure your wifi network settings and other router settings,
I assume you know how to look up the default pass/user and log into the router.

Yea. It just resets it back to default right? So I'll just have to reset the password and log in anything that was on the wifi previously?

Finally found some time, with the kids and everyone off the wifi.

So i was able to hook up a old usb wifi adapter to my comp to get connection, and tried redownloading the MSI drivers for the mother board with no avail.
Then i did the hard reset, and all it well.

Thanks again King Atrhur.

So just turned my computer back on, to find that yet again i do not have a valid IP address.
Should i try contacting my ISP and see if i can get a new modem?
Since last time all i did was a hard reset, and it was fine for like 8 days.

Yes.

/e Tell them your router loses the IP address...intermittently. That way they won't just run a line test when it's working, and say NO to a new router.

I mean just assign each device its own internal ip.
problem solved.

I'm not sure how you would do that.
And it's only my computer that it happens to, everything else is on wifi and is fine.

Can you ping other machines on the LAN?
Have you tried a static IP adresse so you can rule out DHCP problems?
