Seems like resolution matters way more than hdr.

resolution should help with small details and shapes, and overall clarity of images.

hdr i believe is just shading and color brightness and saturation.

also i would assume the hdr is not very good at applying many changes.

The HDR isn't showing up on the screen shots. It does make the color grading look better.

HDR so far gives a brighter look to the game which is much welcomed. Many of the textures were too dark in the original game.

I think I'll mod fallout again when I'm done here.

So... Do you even own a HDR monitor? Or are you just using the wrong term?

High-dynamic-range imaging (HDRI) is a high dynamic range (HDR) technique used in imaging and photography to reproduce a greater dynamic range of luminosity than is possible with standard digital imaging or photographic techniques.

I'm adjusting the HDR via an FXAA injector program.

Nb4 mods get mad.

So.. You're adjusting the colors. HDR is a new monitor tech that adjust brightness / saturation/etc. Without hardware support on both the monitor & GPU (Also software for the game) You cant have true HDR.

yea i was also wondering that. i just thought the hdr effect was sort of being simulated in a way

sort of like the samsung ku6300 tv. it supports 10bit hdr, but does not have the wide color gamut or ability to display above 1000 nits. so the tv can accept a hdr signal, but cannot display the true hdr effects. although it does slightly change the image, but not to a great degree.

i was not aware there are any new computer monitors that can display hdr? i thought only TV were using this technology?

I haven't even heard of the new tech stuff. I'm using an injector and one of the slides is HDR, another bloom, etc.
