Ur right, except he can get it for 40 more instead of 70.
Pretty sure that 40 is worth the demand of 7700k and can easily make more selling it used than 6700k as time go by. Pretty much the same shit as buying non k for less imo

Got mine for $53 more (included upgrade from z170/6700k to z270/7700k)

exactly. It's also an upgrade you didn't really need. He isn't upgrading from 6700k to 7700k, but from 8350.
So for only a lil extra, why wouldn't you purchase 7700k from the get go? it already paid itself just by being a new tech by almost 2yrs.
but ey, it's OP's monies so whatevs.

nobody has mentioned that the 7700k runs hotter than a 6700k.... I mean that's something I'd wanna know before purchase.

This. The 6700K can run on a good air cooler or a smaller AIO to 4.5.

The 7700K you need a 240mm + aio to get any decent OC out of it.

So the total cost for max performance is much higher on the 7700k.

$350 + a $100+ cooler

vs $300 + a $30-40 cooler

Given the choice, it's not worth $70 more to me. I'd get the 6700k in this case.
