Yeah that's for sure.
But better separation from left and right and a little bit clearer sound is all I'm looking for.
I know the m40xs aren't high end or high impedance headphones but u can keep a nice dac for years

Honestly I'd just take the $100 + sell the m40's & get a better pair of headphones.

especially when you fail to mention what headphones you're powering in the first place.

you definitely don't need an amp or dac for the m40x, it won't change anything.

when you google dragonfly dac the 2nd (not discontinued) product is what i was talking about

I like the m40xs for now. I prefer them over the m50s for sure.
I use them as everyday headphones but I consider getting a secondary pair for total enjoyment

Yeah except all the M's are pretty meh...the ATH series Audio Technica's are way better, as are the DTs and the AKG K's
