If you bought the CPU fan new, or it came new-in-box with the CPU, then it should already have a squared-off application of thermal paste pre-applied, like the one that came with my FX-8320.

Like all mentioned above, if there is absolutely nothing on either the faceplate that makes connection with the CPU, then that is your issue.

Just take the CPU-cooler off and see if you see any substance on it / or the CPU.

If not, then apply thermal paste.

You can get it at any bestbuy or computer store near you for 7$.

is my fan..

my new fan is install. and its quiet but Laggy as fuck now since i added new one.


and no the link above isnt my pc, but the fan itself is 99.999% match
