Craigslist is not a solution, unless there are no other solutions, especially for motherboards.

Your board is stupid high in cost and wtf do you mean its not an option.
Just cause you have no faith or a scared bitch does not imply op is.

Dudes on a budget, least refer him to something more within his budget.
your mobo's more then the cpu he just bought.

The ONLY reason I could see that ANYone would suggest getting a motherboard off ebay or CL, is that there was no other way to get one.

Yes, he's on a dead platform. The ASUS M5A99FX is the best mid leavel board you can get for that CPU.
Just because he's on a dead platform, does NOT mean he should screw it up with a used motherboard. :/

Used does not imply broken nor does it imply the action as a screw up.
Just because your dead set in your ways does not mean op should waste money when on a budget.
Just an FYI Mike since I know you don't ebay, he has buyers protection and has ample time to test said product to ensure it works.
Not everyone on criagslist is out to scam you, In fact I just recently got one of craigslist and it works flawlessly and my clients been using it 2 months now.

The main reason he should and this is ANOTHER valid reason is his budget. The fact he stated he does not have a lot of money.

@op if you want me to look around in your area for something decent or more in line with your budget pm me.
I'll ask a few things and dig up something that will work and explain to you the things you need to ask and look out for.

I mean like the opposite of whoever recommended his current build, and now isn't around. :/

/e Obviously the builder tried to: Hit a budget. The builder probably did hit the budget, but NOW the budget just grew.
This is what I'm saying AGAIN for the 10000th time about doing something dumb, like buying a used motherboard.

/ee @OP... I already told you a week or two ago that your current motherboard DOES support your new 125w CPU.

I'm aware that it does, however with my USB ports now shitting out on me, it's time to buy a newer mobo / upgrade.

Personally I was looking at this.
It's only 20-30$ over my 100$ budget, but seems a decent board with good reviews.

Also, my current mobo doesn't even have USB 3.0 which I find incredibly shitty.

Any ASUS board with a 990FX chipset, is about the best you can do for the piledriver CPUs, these days.
