Not even that much.

Only game I want is: Torment: Tides of Numenera, which will be out on Feb. 27th., and the 331.82 drivers will handle it no problem.






My point is... I've always found it better to stay with the lowest version driver I can get away with. Starting about 8 or so years ago, Nvidia started adding a bunch of "crap" to it's drivers.

Even the 331.82 drivers have 3 Task Manager entries. I tried some of the newer drivers... and I'm surprised they don't grind the computer to a halt. In fact, things started going downhill, IMO, when Nvidia 1st switched from the blue/white icon drivers, to the green icon drivers. The drivers haven't really been as clean and sharp as they were before.

Never needed DDU to mess with drivers, back in the blue n white icon days. They just plain behaved themselves.

No, there are some great tests run by Gamersnexus.net on older Amd and NVidia cards, like the 7970 and the gtx 770 comparing them from day 1 drivers to drivers like 3 years later. with like 5-10% and gains depending on the game or benchmark from optimization over time for both brands.

Without driver updates that 770 would run bf 1 at like 15 fps because there is no game profile to tell the card how to process the game most efficiently.

OP I continue to use drivers ofc for game optimizations, but I do have to revert back at times because of small issues they forgot to include which they didnt in a previous one

plus you guys know there are release notes for the drivers

right now anyone with an amd card should be updating theirs, they are doing fantastic job
