pci-e 3.0 @ 8x is more than enough for a 1060

Z170 supports up to 20 lanes of PCI-E so, if he's using 16 on the GPU then 4 lanes would be open on the NIC. I don't think NIC cards operate on more than 4 lanes anyways.

Yeah, I'm just quoting the mobo specs. It says, if the x8 slot is populated, then the x16 will run at half speed.
He has a x4 slot, so there is really no need to populate the x8 slot.

Yeah I wasent aware they all didn't share. Good to know.
