I use a regular headset with mic, too lazy to do separate mic. If I want good sound just run it through my audio system.

you will not even come close to positional accuracy of headphones

and what is your audio system?

If you can afford it, this is probably the best value headset right now.

Who needs positional accuracy when your an everyday user listening to Spotify is my question? Everyone is acting like this guy is wanting top of the line, but he literally just wants the PC equivalent of the turtle beaches he mentioned 😂 .

Was a question for you for starters

No one said spend more and get top of the line

And secondly educating someone on products is bad?

Many users here have knowledge on many products hence op asking and us throwing in our comments

I'll look at the models when i get home. I have a sony and I had a Klipsch in the past, I'm by no means obsessed with high quality audio though.

Educating someone on products isn't bad at all but the suggestions got weird. He only ended up getting 1 legit headset option in his price range. The rest were arguments on why headsets with built in mics suck etc.

He pointed what he liked and what he wanted and got 1 suggestion but 13 replies (I'm guilty of this as well).

90% of these threads devolve into arguments rather than educational suggestions and information lol

MANY have had headsets and have had issues with them I still own couple headsets for their price compared

you can get vmoda boom mic or mod mic or other product and some headphones that are compatible, so when one breaks you only have to replace 1 not the whole package

superlux and mic mod has been suggested why suggest anything else?

While I truly understand where everyone is coming from on the independent mic/headset option, I feel this isn't necessary for my casual gaming. The mic is there just as an additional "just in case" feature, I don't plan on really talking to anyone, but it's there if I feel the need to.
I just want something simple and affordable for casual use so that other people don't have to hear my sound.

@The only legitimate suggestion I got, thank you for the suggestion, but it's a bit out of my intended price range.

If you don't need a mic it is even bigger reason to get headphones, you can add the mic later if you need it.

Edit: And if your budget must be under 60$ get the Superlux HD681. You may add Zalman clip mic if you like for about 10$ and you are still under 60$.
