I'll take your guys word for it. I do know, there's lot of folks have problems with this.

Some low end boards still suffer from it but to say it does not work flat out is wrong.
Its why I asked if it was a 3.0 device. but all 2.0 devices should work until drivers are installed.

I take it OP has got it working?

Still not working. Sorry had to take a break, took off work becuz I got the flu. I tried my USB ports in the back and still no luck.

Maybe its the USB or the files on it?

How did you get the copy of Windows 7 onto the USB stick?

That should work.

Weird.. Could the ssd be shot? In bios the ssd is detected. I even tried the other USB ports.

I would bet it's the USB or the Windows image on the USB.


/e There is an easy way to check...stick the USB stick in another computer...just make sure you don't: "Click any key to continue"

Once you "Click any key to continue" ...it starts the install.
