Are you using a Display Port cable?



Also, how many sticks of RAM did you buy?

/e For 4 sticks of RAM, they should be in the lighter colored slots, to get... Quad channel.

I have 2 in the computer right now, 2 are comming in the mail next week. Exact same model.

The monitor has 4 cables plugged in. - HDMI - DisplayPort - and one written SS on it... + the power cable.

For 2 sticks...all you can get is dual channel.

for installing the ram I followed the motherboard's manual.

maybe i should just plug DP cable, not the hdmi one or the SS at the same time?

How many monitors are you connecting?

And do you have a link to the exact ASUS 1080 that you bought?

only 1 monitor.. and yeah the DP cable is conencted to the 1080.

Well if you hook the other end to the ASUS PG279Q monitor, and only the DP cable..then you should get 165Hz

144hz is good stuff heard anything over is overclocked hz
