any reason why micro and not mini itx or standard atx?
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/GHRfxYstorage drive is really just "take whatever is cheap". & 600w gold is plenty for that setup
looking for a much smaller setup but I don't want to sacrifice the ability to add in additional cards down the line. had a wifi card that I would like to add to the system (yes, I know I could have gone with an itx ac board but what if I would like to add a sound card?) I just don't want to limit myself I guess

coming from this build
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/h2zmNNalso a 600w gold doesn't match with a $200 PSU or a $150 cooler, so that's why I chose that lol
I don't need it and it's absurd but if I'm going this hard I might as well shell out an additional $50

also, i plan on keeping the case for years and years. if any upgrades were to be made to the cpu/mobo for whatever the next socket change will be then I will keep pretty much the same everything less board/cpu.
i did end up going with the cheapest 1tb western digital drive, my last one treated me too well

almost 3 years 24/7 (2 years were just as data drive once ssd was added, so that doesn't really count i suppose) - still going strong ofc, just sold the computer for $500
This is where I stand right now
