They're lower tiered chinese mass produced tvs, but they aren't that bad. If you aren't too picky, it's a decent price. You aren't going to find a cheaper tv for that size, 4k and smart functionality. At least at the moment.

I purchased a hisense 55 inch 4k smart tv off amazon for $381 back in early october and that was about as cheap as you could get them at the time.
And also purchased a philips 55 inch 4k smart tv from walmart on black friday for $298 (was hard to pass that up)

I actually own that EXACT model. The tv is pretty damn awesome for the price.

It takes Ethernet which is a must if you actually plan on streaming 4k videos without tons of buffering unless you have some insane WiFi. It does take 2.4 and 5ghz wifi as well.

The colors aren't washed out, the blacks are pretty solid as well so I was pleasantly surprised since it's kind of a no name company. While it doesn't support HDR, my wallet couldnt support another $600 to get the same size tv with it either haha.

If you're ordering one online the packaging was actually super good to protect the TV. With a hard particle board over the screen over a plastic screen protector.

The UI of the smart tv is perfectly fine and intuitive since it's developed by ROKU and not TCL. The processor inside of the TV is fine, maybe a second or two of processing time when downloading updates or downloading a new channel app but scrolling through your channels and loading shows has no delay or stuttering.

thanks for the response we actually picked it up at our local walmart today. and i agree with the price i would prefer vizio or samsung or something else but they are like 200 dollars higher for the same features. the reviews i saw were heavily favored for 4 and 5 stars.
