ok true , thanks

ive seen i can prob get a good length of extensions, in a 2 pack for like 10 bucks on amazon. assuming i only need to extend two of the speaker wires.

how do you think they sound? i dont expect much at all, but hope they are semi okay. they have good reviews. but at their price point they can be too good. just an upgrade from my built in tv speakers

They're not bad for a computer set up.

ok so i got the speakers. the only outputs i have on my TV are red/white left/right stereo....

and the headphone out lol. so the headphone out works when plugged into tv and the z506 speakers. but id assume its not in 5.1 output. and i know for a fact it causes a super loud buzz noise of interference or something when the headphone out is plugged into tv and speakers.... but when i plug my phone into the speakers using the same headphone out it works fine from my phone. and i did not move the equipment around, so i dont think its any electrical interference.

the only other output my tv has is the red/white left/right output for the speakers. but the speakers are 5.1 surround sound, so with this red/white cable, would i still be able to get surround sound? or would it only play out of the speakers as if its normal left right 2.1 sound?

it didnt even come with the red/white cables....

so it looks like for surround 5.1 it says to use all the cables.... but i dont have these connections on my TV. is there an adapter for the tv for these 3 cables that would work?

its number 4 on the pdf link that shows the connections

I think that most ppl buy a sound bar for their TV.
If you want speakers, most ppl would get an amp, and hopok taht to the TV, then hook the speakers to the amp.

/e Computer speakers, like you bought, are for hooking up to a computer. :)

yea ive seen that video. he just plugs in the regular left right, red/white RCA cables for stereo output?

also at 1:00 into the video it shows he has the other 3 cables plugged into his speakers, but he doesnt show where they are plugged into his TV? the green, black, and yellow (or orange) cable

looking into this also, but i dont think this connection works for my speakers
