It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay. Make it look nice, and you might get a good chunk of change for it. Just remember karma can be a bitch.

Eh I'm not looking to misrepresent what the computer is. I don't want to oversell it. My listing price of $800 isn't really a scam, it's just higher than a tech-savvy person should pay. But to someone who doesn't know how to build a computer, $800 is a fair price. $500-$600 fair price to a computer builder, $700-$800 fair price for a tech know-nothing.

I'll dress 'er up tomorrow and take a picture.

i7 2600k is an amazing processor given its performance compared to what's out there today. And I did update the RAM and graphics around Christmas to match demands of current games.

Here's the kicker: I want to move to a Macbook as my primary computer. I have a Windows laptop as well that I'll still keep for Windows needs (it's not bad, got it in 2013 but the screen sucks, it's a 15-inch with i7 quad core and a 640m graphics card, scores 1728 on 3dmark11, so not great.

It's worth whatever someone will pay for it.

Why not try for $800?

At worst, He'll just have to re-post it for less.

I typically post things on c'list a little higher then i actually want. Because people like to 'haggle'

*Usually people don't overpay. But I often find buyers who pay a fair price.

I usually only take a 10-20% loss on resale. In 2011/2012 I resold my Macbook Air that I had for only a $150 loss total.

I have resold speakers (to upgrade to better ones) for next to no loss (10-15%).

I have also purchased dumbbells (about 800lbs worth of pro hex-style rubber coated dumbbells) alongside a pro-level dumbbell rack for just $250 I believe. I resold the dumbbell rack for $300, and then later on I resold the dumbbells for $600 or so.

I resold a Netbook for like $20 less than I paid for it in 2010.
