Also try straight connection from the modem to rule out the router.


i live in an apartment building so i'm not sure where the wires go

also i am using the comcast modem/router combo box, which I have swapped out 2 times already. and internet was fine until 3 nights ago. The technician that came by this afternoon said he saw nothing wrong with the wires outside the apartment, and changed the coaxial connection within the walls, still didn't fix my problem :(

saw or tested?

cant see water in the lines, cant see every bit of line either

not sure exactly what they did so i can't say

he just said he found no problems in the lines

did he connect the lines to a laptop or hand held device?

yes and no.
you should be going to the hardware manufacturers site for latest drivers
not letting windows decide what is up to date

also check if router/modem has update firmware

yes a no.

how many drivers?

i updated the ones for network adapter

let me know what others i need to update

calling xfinity customer support atm so they can update my firmware



just played a league game, it improved but not perfect like it was before


also he had a handheld device

technically you should be updated all drivers for best performance.

/edit
then continue to update your drivers.
see who makes the nic for your Ethernet and go to their site also.

still update firmware on router/modem.
