Yeah it works with a pagefile on C of course.... but when switching it from none on C to one on A it creates a 16 GB on startup on C.
Just thought it'd be good to move it off the OS disk to spread the wear out?

Well that is what you are supposed to do. Not for wear so much as for greater speed.
You don't want the page file on the C: drive, coz then it is reading and writing to the same drive.

The best option would be to have the page file on the A: drive, with the OS on the C: drive.

So did that update like 1-2 weeks ago make task manager stop showing system/compressed memory value?
That value was the amount of pagefile being used right?

No the best option is getting more ram if thats what you need.
having the page file on ANYdrive will decrease performance significantly.

I take that back I have 16 GB RAM woops
Is it supposed to be telling me the % used of virtual memory I'm confused why it's 15%?

I'm at 4096 pagefile. That lines up with pagefile setting percentage.

No it's using 15% of your installed RAM.

Ah yeah it lines up mathematically also with the ~2 GB from OS.
Is there a way to have OS resources listed in processes specifically?

The Processes tab in Task Manager should show all the various things that are using resources.

Well I mean the OS is phantom isn't it?
15% of 16 GB = 2400 MB
2400 MB - 635 MB shown in usage breakdown = 1765 MB from OS?
No way to have it actually show this?

The OS and w/e programs or drivers you have that run a Process, will show up in Task Manager....like the pic above.

The "Memory % column, show the % of RAM used by the OS and various programs and drivers.

Well if you apply some basic math it obviously doesn't "show" the value of OS... only calculates it into overall percentage.
If at that moment 15% of 16 GB was being used there's 1765 MB unaccounted for in the details listed. Just wondering if that can be shown somehow.
That was the "users" tab in my picture where it kindly adds them all up for you. Not a single 635 MB process.
