Its a 6100.... 390 is fine still.

Hmm let's see Lee.

6600k/390 FPS vs 6100/1080 FPS

Let's look at longevity of the upgrade.

Spend another 30-100 dollars and OC The 6100.. wins every single time.

Edit: Intel is about to release their new line of cpus before too long and zen is around the corner.

could get cheaper mobo and add a 120 ssd - muskin eco 2
Can also change ram to 3000mhz if mobo is around the 120 mark.

It still does it's job fine. It is a huge waste of money switching right now. Wait for the CPU. Gpu will be huge and a ssd. Your platform is fine at the moment

If my cpu is fine, what exactly is causing me to get like 20 fps on world of warcraft on like barely medium settings?

Yeah, Deff gunna go the cpu, mobo, ram ssd, route. What is a more inexpensive motherboard? I dont see the need of spending 170 dollars on a mobo

My computer specs currently are:
Processor AMD FX(tm)-6100 Six-Core Processor

Video Card: AMD Radeon (TM) R9 390 Series

RAM: 8.0 GB

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit

600 watt power supply.

Im looking for a new cpu as I suspect that is what is completely bottle necking my pc right now.. my hard drive is also almost full and im looking for a decent SSD - havent done any price research on these so that would help.

Anyways, im basically looking for the best bang for my buck when it comes to a processor, I play games like battlefield 1, tera, world of warcraft and league, Im having problems running all of these on max besides league of legends.

My main goal is to be able to run wow and bf1 on max settings even if im in a raid with 40 people. I want to know whatever I need to do to get to those goals.

Thanks in advance.

Well hate to really burst the bubble, but playing bf1 on max settings with a 390 isn't gonna happen. My old 6600k that I oc'd to 4.7 with a 390 couldn't even play fc4 maxed out at 1080p.

If you're only really playing WoW then yes buy a new cpu. If you plan to play a variety of games, gtx 1080.
