Alright I have done a bit of research and I think the main reason I need to go with the IPS is the viewing angles. I usually have multiple people looking at my monitors and it is important that every see clearly.

the lg has a lower pixel pitch
asus has 3 yr warranty, lg is 1 year

basically it's between the sizes of the monitors
approximately 24" vs 25" and ultrawide
or other features/ bells n whistles that may suit your situation better
but either one would be a good purchase for sub 200

I have read a bit that the 25" ultrawide is too small for an ultrawide. Have you had any experience with it?

ultrawide is just 21:9, its just like having another 5:9 added to the side of a 16:9

Go by the pixel pitch. If it's .27 or lower, you're good to go.
Any higher than that, especially in the .3x area, means they just stretched the horizontal pixels to fill the 21:9 area.

That's not how 21;9 works.

Its a whole separate resolution than 16;9

2560x1080 instead of 1920x1080
3440x1440 instead of 2560x1440

etc. They don't "Stretch" The pixels lol

I've seen LG monitors that claimed 21:9 that were smaller resolutions. Even 1920 x 1080, but with large dimensions. Like 27" for example.
On those monitors they do "stretch" the horiz. pixels. ^^
