I payed out the ass for mine; $24.99 and still O/P AF.

Actually it's pretty decent for its age, does everything I need it to just fine.

I'm still waiting on the 3gs to arrive in the mail as it's not something I had already owned, the bastard hit my wallet hard at $10.

sounds rough.
My next project requires 2x 1GB DDR Desktop PC2700 333 and a AMD Sempron 2800+.
a whopping 20$ total for the 2, debating on IDE-To-CF-Card-Adapter for 5$ and a compact flash card at 30.
Might skip the flash memory and get new fans though these ones sound like jets.

Why not IDE-To-Sata then a $15 (30-60gb) ssd? I have tons of DDR ram laying around.
