Real 64 bit support built into the engine instead of the hacked in version you had with the original.
Will look better and perform better as a base than the previous game.
Will allow more customization with the mods due to increase engine limits compared to the previous game.
So the game itself won't really change, but what people can do with it will change quite a bit.

It's a new skin for the same game pretty much.


Might do another playthrough when it launches though.
