Id recommend Avast for at least the boot scan. Make sure to turn it up to full strength in scan settings. You can do the same and run the full scan if you'd like it works well but the main reason I like it is for the boot scan. Just make sure to remove it when finished you don't really want Avast eating up your resources. Also give AdwCleaner a try, it tends to find a lot of things most others don't. Whether they are legit infections or just PUP's is another story so I recommend reading and using best judgement when removing stuff with AdwCleaner.
If Hitman came back clean, you're probably good. I've seen Hitman break stuff before it's very thorough. At the end of the day a free AV is only as good as it's updates and if you managed to get a zero-day virus you're not going to get rid of it with any AV, even paid.
yeah naw it was just adware etc and a few things running in the background
there was something in hidden folders titled "undefeated.exe" which i assume was to reinstall everything after a reboot, cause only hitman ended up finding that one. deleted it and moved on
everything seems to be fine now.
