If your FX-6300 is running 56C at idle...THAT is your problem. Here's mine...for example...

/e Speccy reads the core temps of FX processors. Unfortunately...the core temps of the FX CPUs are only accurate at about 70-80% load.

AIDA64 Extreme can also read the core temps for the FX processors. ...this is a screenshot I just made for someone else. Note how much the core temp RAISES when the CPU has 100% load (as shown by the yellow graph). The core temp went UP.... 25C when loaded.

Your CPU's core temp is at 56C...it will also go up about 25C when loaded. Like when you game.

The maximum core temp for an AMD FX CPU is 62C. Every time you pass 62C the FX-6300 starts having a heart attack...aka...causing your computer to freeze.

Here, I made one just for you...using SPECCY...my temps are far lower than yours because I have a huge air conditioner, very near my computer.
The point is...in this CPU only stress test...my core temp, went UP..... 22C.

All you need to do is get your core temp (at idle) down to say 30-35C. Then when you are doing somthing that loads your CPU, it will still be under 62C...which is what you want.

Since moving my computer, CPU is at 35ish average on idle, that is normal/good? :)

Thanks so much for your help <3

Gimme a Speccy screenshot. :)

/e I want to SEE that 35C. :)

But yeah, if you got it down there...you should be OK. The stress test I ran above, should be harder than most every game.

So.... 35C + 22C = 57C ...which is under 62C so you should be OK.

You can always run a stress test of your own to check that it stays under 62C. :)

Now...if you get freezing, we can be sure it's not the CPU temp going crazy.
But I'd bet, you won't get freezing anymore.

Freezing on the cpu will only happen if the thing is stuck at 100% load 24/7

Test your hard drive.
