You might try adding 2x 80mm to the top...er left side as shown below...as very low speed intakes.

They would be out of the way of the CPU cooler. And the rule of thumb for side fans, is....set them as low speed intakes. Then just turn your case so it matches the pic.
:)

/e I'm not sure if I'm kidding or not. :)

Ok, if your case stood like this pic...then I would say YES...add 2x 80mm (since the 200mm won't fit with the CPU cooler), slow intake fans as shown. But who knows how the CM case would handle this, when standing on it's feet...properly.

Wasnt that the issue?

More fans on case arent going to cool his room

The only way I could see to cool "the space where he sits" is to turn the case "on his desktop" like this....

I think he's just "feeling" like it's hot, because of the side "vents" on the case when it is sitting properly...on it's feet.
So if he turns the case like shown, the air coming out of the left side vent, won't be blowing right on him.

The CPU cooler, turned the way it is currently...is adding to the flow of hot air exiting from the left side vent.

So, if he turns the case a little, and turns the CPU cooler the correct direction...it should make sitting in the chair area...FEEL cooler.

That's definitely a one of a kind case.

/e ...and turn up the A/C.

Depends on the room
My old office heated up no matter What unless i opened window and exhausted air

New office has No Windows But door is closer to case

Yeah. He has to consider the air flow around the case, and the air flow around the room as well.

/e The way it's set up now...the hot air from the CPU heatsink, is blown over the hot vid cards, where it gets hotter, then out the left side of the case. It must feel like a sauna sitting in the chair.

Normal cases, exhaust all the hot air out the back and up the wall. The person sitting at the desktop, doesn't feel it at all.

Aside from putting it back on the floor, what can I do to cool this pig down?

ty gents

well if you follow the laws of thermodynamics you want to keep your pc warmer, not cooler

so stuff your case full of pillows

or sound dampen it / turn your fans lower so air doesn't get out of the case as fast.

I would definitely ...turn the CPU cooler, so it is 'pushing' towards the rear exhaust fan.
If it was me I'd consider upgrading the case as well.

This CM case reminds me of those Antec Lanboy Air cases...just too many damn holes everywhere.

So I cleaned my pc (took everything out, blasted with air compressor, put back together) and put it on top of my desk instead of tucked down on the floor next to an air vent (caked it with dust so quick, but kept it cool)
Now I have to keep a window a/c on 24/7 or it's like a sauna in here.

Adding fans will just lower your Speccy temps (maybe). It will do nothing to lessen the heat the case puts out into the room.

As stated above, you need to consider the room airflow. But you seem to know that already.

The only free improvement I can see would be to turn the CM Hyper 212 EVO around so it pushes towards the rear exhaust fan. Even this won't lower the heat the case puts into the room...it's just a smarter arrangement for the internal case airflow.
Right now, it's at cross purposes, to the normal front to back case airflow.

Every room where a computer sits, is different. You just have to decide what the best solution for room airflow...is for you.

IF, having the case on the floor is better for you...then at least put some kind of filter on the air vent, so it doesn't fill the case with dust.
:)

/e I live on the 2nd floor of a 1908 apt. building, with no insulation and the sun hitting two walls in the AM and the other two walls in the PM.
For ME the solution was this....

...but, like I said...every room is different.

This is my case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119265
Currently do not have fan mounted to top because the 200mm fan hits the top of the hyper 212, it also apparently looks like I may have my hyper 212 facing the wrong direction (mistake I made when it was first pc I built over 5 years ago)
This is what this case allows:
Top: 1 x 200mm fan (optional) --> Do not have
Front: 2 x 120mm XtraFlo fan (installed; 1200 RPM, 17 dBA) or 2 x 140mm fan (optional)
Rear: 1 x 120mm fan or 1 x 80mm fan (optional) --> Do not have
I'm thinking add the 120mm fan, see if a 200mm low profile fan exists, and add a second fan to the hyper 212, and possibly turn it the right direction (I'm afraid to, every time I remove parts something stops functioning correctly, cleaning it even caused issues with crashing lolol) -> maybe upgrade the 2 front fans to a higher rpm and go to 140mm?
This thing is loud as fuck also, so I need to buy silent fans.
