havent ever used https everywhere I'll give it a go

I liked the info Ghostery provided but didn't really see a point to it in the end cause they'll log just like anything else so if looking for anonymity mise well forgo that.
Could be more to it I don't know or understand though.

Firewall sure, if possible, setup and strengthen your protection through your router with custom firmware, then for your PC.

But can we just forget antiviruses already, put it on a stick or something and run if needed but not necessary on PC itself.
Just use your brain when browsing / downloading and have solid backups handy.

I do use my brain, when DLing.

The AV part is for when my brain wants me to DL something from a risky site. :D

I'm referring to OP, not you :rolleyes:

And not sure you can say you use your brain then say you don't use your brain :P

If unsure, just do some research on what your downloading and the source you're downloading from.

Or run through VM?

If Firefox... I use NoScript, and Classic Theme Restorer. That's it.

/e Ookla speed tests, need Adobe Flash Player...at least if you want the full options, of that site.
